This will help you to catch up and recall many of the minor plot points so that they are fresh in your mind as you see how everything culminates. Of course, this will be especially helpful if you were only a casual fan who may not remember the name of each of the characters, for instance. Think about some of the best romantic movies of all time – Titanic, Sleepless in Seattle, Pretty woman -could any of these happen in real life exactly like they do on screen?

In the end, it's a combination of unpredictable factors and a special blessing from the movie Gods that all adds up to form a complete package. It's impossible to come up with the specific formula to create a great romantic movie each and every time, but we are certainly thankful when it happens.

3. Ace Ventura: Pet Detective
The title itself tells you exactly what this one was about, but this movie really signifies the beginning of a monster movie career for Carrey. Courtney Cox played his love interest as Ace was trying to uncover the mystery of the missing mascot for the Miami Dolphins right before the Super Bowl. Dan Marino cameos toward the end in this one.

2. Bruce Almighty
While Ace Ventura was the start of his big career, this has been one of the last great comedies Carrey has been in. Morgan Freeman and Jennifer Aniston also headline this blockbuster about an ordinary man who inherits all of the powers of God. Steve Carell plays a small, yet very amusing role as Carrey’s arch rival.

1. Dumb and Dumber
There was no debate as to what movie would sit atop this list. Jim Carrey as Lloyd Christmas was one of the funniest movie characters of all time. Jeff Daniels costars in this road trip movie about two men who have a secret briefcase they are trying to return to one of Lloyd’s limo passengers that left it at the airport. Comedy ensues as Lloyd and Harry do one dumb thing after another.

So if you are so lucky to be able to download free movies today, pick one of these three and you will not be disappointed. There are a lot of other great Jim Carrey movies but as far as comedies go, these top the list!

In How to Train Your Dragon, we meet the youthful Viking, Hiccup. Regrettably for Hiccup, he is absolutely not living up to the dreams and expectations of his father. Hiccup just is not cut out to be a Viking. He is small as well as slow, so he has become apprenticed to the local blacksmith, despite that his dad dreams of Hiccup becoming an effective dragon slayer.

One day, while Hiccup is out on his own, he manages to trap a dragon with one of his innovations. This is his opportunity to make a good impression on Astrid, girl of his desires and Dragon Slayer in training, and the rest of the town. However when Hiccup gazes straight into the eyes of the dragon, he simply can not do it. Rather than kill this dragon, he takes pity on it then slowly and gradually a relationship forms between Hiccup and Toothless (this dragon). Collectively, Toothless and Hiccups join forces to save both their worlds. Along the way they overcome the fears as well as prejudices of their respective communities. This motion picture is really as heartwarming as it is fun and action packed.

Use the Proper Tense

When you describe what the character is doing, the reader should be reading it as it happens. Instead of "the author is typing this article" it should be "the author types the article". If you are one of the few people who have completed a screenplay, go back and review it. Even writing MULTIPLE screenplays, on rereads I find myself slipping up occassionally. Although there's no set rule, eliminating these minor errors can make your writing more professional, which in a sea of scripts being read by producers and agents, any little edge helps your dream escape the recycling bin.

Instead of telling us, SHOW US!

Another big problem new wrtiers commit is long and drawn out dialogue. A good rule to follow is only let characters speak two sentences at a time. (If it can't be witty, keep it economical.) Any more than this either cut wasted dialogue out, or show us in a four line block of action. A common area to find this would be in describing something that happened or another character. For instance, isn't it more exciting to be at a football game and see someone scoring a touchdown, feeling the stadium and crowd overflow with excitement around you, rather than hear your friend tell you about it the next day? The same goes for movies.

What can be as scary as going to a country and being taken for the oldest trade, the sex trade.  Taken takes you into this underground world were the rich buy and sell innocent women to make prostitutes.

But their has been a catch.  The thieves did not count on the professional Liam Neeson.  He is an ex spy that has retired to spend more time with his estranged teenage daughter that he has neglected his entire career.  As he starts to build his relationship he is blind sided by a trip that she wants to take to Paris with a friend.  What she doesn't tell him is that she is not just going to see the sights of Paris but she plans to follow around a band and become a groupy for a month as the band travels on its UK tour.  Liam Neeson finds this out as she is about to board the plan and makes her promise that she stay in constant contact with him, calling when she get up and when she goes to bed and throughout the day.

The trip is cut short as soon as his daughter and friend make it to their hotel.  A few hours later both are kidnapped by slavers as Bryan Mills (Neeson) listens on the phone, Mills uses all his connections and skills to turn the city of lights upside down and rescue her.  Taken drips with lurid violence (a bit toned-down to get a PG-13 rating, but there's still plenty of it), deranged sentimentality, and stereotypes of all kinds.  But the movie is a thrill ride from beginning to end.

Most people did not like this movie.  I heard conflicting reviews from this film.  mountainx.com Ken Hanke said "Four Christmases, a film so monstrously awful that it will probably make a fortune, spawn sequels and cause a mania for gags involving projectile-vomiting babies.", which by the way I thought was a very funny part.  And npr.org Bob Mondello said "Gordon's stars are charmless, his script cheerless, and his sterling supporting cast can't seem to figure out what they've been brought on board to do....", ouch...  Critics just did not like this movie...

I would have to disagree with all of them.  Maybe because I am a little scrooge myself.  But I really got into the concept of tow unmarried people that have terrible dysfunctional families that they rather not visit on Christmas.  Here is the backdrop.  Brad (Vince Vaughn) and Kate (Reese Witherspoon) every Christmas ditch going to see their divorced parents.  Instead they make up stories about saving children in third world countries to go on their real vacations to places like Fuji.  The problem is that this year as they try to get their boarding passes at the airport they find out that their plane has been canceled due to bad weather.  Enragged Brad starts to argue with the ticket counter representative which draws the attention of the news carriers who are covering the story of passengers not able to leave the area before Christmas.  LIVE on TV Brad and Kate are asked where they were going for Christmas and are forced to speak of their plans for traveling to Fuji.  The story is seen live by both of their families and immediately their phone start ringing for them to come visit family for the vacation.  Thus, Brad and Kate are forced to visit Four families, the mothers and fathers of each for Christmas.  The twist is that neither have ever introduced each other to their families, nor have they explained how dysfunctional everyone was.  Come to find out neither Kate or Brad really knew each other after all.

I thought that this film was very funny.  But I have a sick since of humor.  So, I really enjoy movies like this.  This movie is not meant to be serious.  It does start to get a little serious towards the end but the transition has a normal flow.  I recommend that people judge for themselves.  If your a serious person you probably would not like this movie.  But, if not go see this one.  You should get a good laugh.
